Adam Lucio

Hello everyone.

My name is Adam Lucio. Like many chasers, my interest in the weather started at a very young age. Unlike many though, there was no childhood event to spark my interest. Severe weather was not a big part of my life growing up in the city of Chicago. We did get our share of storms though, and each time there was a storm I would be glued to the window watching it or even trying to run outside. The chaotic environment of the storm itself is what drew me in.

I began chasing these local storms as soon as I could drive in 1998. Eventually I longed for more than just pea size hail and lightning. I began to do my own research and teach myself everything there is to know about chasing. I made my debut in the plains and bagged my first tornadoes in 2007. I am always trying to bring myself to the next level in chasing and will do whatever it takes to succeed.

For me its not all about chasing tornadoes. I love all types of storms and severe weather. I dont just want to see the storm, I want to experience the storm. I will often dive into the hail cores, a place many chasers fear, just to experience the power. I have traveled as far north as the Dakotas, as far south as the Mississippi river valley, and as far west as the Colorado front range all in pursuit of the nastiest weather I can get into.

I am happy to be part of the Convective Addiction site. I have much to share. My personal website can be found at www.aerostorms.com
