Announcing the Convective Addiction Video Probe

With the more active weather pattern arriving later this week all of us here at Convective Addiction wanted to take a quick moment to announce one of our new toys. We have been working on a video probe equipped with a wide angle HD camera. This project has been several months in the making between finding a camera that fits our needs, designing an enclosure around it, and actually building the finished product.

The camera is what really makes the probe special. It is a wide angle (~180deg) flash based HD camera that comes in its own waterproof/shockproof enclosure. You can check it out over at www.goprocamera.com Some of the specs for the probe are as follows
